In 1987, Chrysler purchased the bankrupt Italian carmaker Lamborghini to add an exotic brand to its portfolio. But that’s set to change this month with the new Jaguar F-Type officially going on sale on 20th April (in the UK, at least), when Jaguar are expecting many of the thousands of ‘Expressions of Interest’ in the F-Type to turn in to confirmed orders. And so they should. From an initial scepticism about Jaguar’s seemingly ‘premium’ pricing of the F-Type, we eventually concluded it was nothing of the sort.
Maserati has unveiled the new 2013 Quattroporte – the luxury sports saloon which has been the mainstay of Modena since the current car's launch in 2004. The new Maserati Quattroporte will be shown at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, with left-hand drive sales starting in spring 2013. However, right-hand drive UK sales of the new QP are unlikely to begin before June 2013.
